pregnant and waiting for cancer stage

Dear Debbie,
I just wanted thank you for being so empathetic towards me. I can tell from your signature line that you have really had an ordeal. Your heart must be very kind and full of compassion. I do have a wonderful husband that I know will love me no matter what. I just have these terrible thoughts from time to time that even though he would never say it, he may not find me attractive anymore. I know it sounds awful but I think it so I might as well vent it here.
In the end I know I will be grateful to have a beautiful baby girl and God willing my health back again.

Many thanks for your compassion.
Pamela

awww Pamela what a mix of emotions you must be going through right now....excitement for the new baby and fear for the surgery.

In answer to your questions I am now 4wks post op and feeling so much better...yes the first few weeks arent easy but it doesnt last long and is nowhere near as bad as you think its going to be. I have a vertical scar and was really worried about how it would look after but its nowhere near as bad as i thought it would be and i reckon that by this time next year it will have faded to almost nothing.....and you most certainly wont feel deformed...look upon it as your trophy its what saved your life....thats how i feel about it....and im sure your hubby wont take any notice of it. I had lymph nodes removed from stomach and ive not noticed any difference at all you have thousands in your body which will take over the function of the ones youve lost.

Good luck honey will be thinking of you and saying a few prayers

pregnant and waiting for cancer stage

Hello Ladies.

I got great news today. My doctor said I had microinvasion instead of full invasion. The depth was 1.5 mm and width was 2.8. That means I am a stage 1a instead of 1b.
She said I have an option of careful monitoring with a cone or simple hysterectomy.
We see her tomorrow and will talk more about the risks of each.
I am so happy with this news.
I am so glad they caught it so early. My baby girl really did help her mom out from the very beginning.
Thanks so much for all of the support I received here.
Blessings to all.
Pamela

Pamela,
That's wonderful news. I'm so happy for you.Funny isn't it that we were both in similar situations and both pregnant with girls.I guess we'll have a story to tell them someday, huh?
Best of luck to you and keep us posted.
sincerely ,
