Talked to the surgeon!

He called *me* this morning! I was very happy to have the chance to talk to him since I've had so many questions.
Ok, first he definately wants to do the TVH. He sounded pretty sure that he would be able to, but did say that the TAV was always a possibility. He also said that he is totally in favor of keeping my ovaries as long as there is nothing that he sees that makes him change his mind. So there on the orders is the possible unilateral or bilateral s-o (?), he also added possible anterior repair and possible posterior repair.
I talked to him about some problems I've been having with incontinence issues lately. He wants me to see a urologist but that just isn't feasible right now. So he's going to do something to add some support to my bladder.
He doesn't think it will be a permanent solution to that problem and I'll need to see the uro and possibly have this other procedure done in the next year, but that's ok. I can deal with that when the time comes. I really don't have a lot of choice if I want to go ahead with the hyterectomy now. And because of stuff going on in my life, I really don't need to put this off. So Monday is the day!
I went and got all my pre-admission and pre-op tests done today so everything is ready to go. I'm really looking forward to being on the other side of this surgery. To think, in 3 days I'll be an official princess!!
Good luck to all the ladies going to the castle next week. I look forward to reading your stories and getting a chance to post mine!
