Hi Chelle

welcome to the new princess. I am glad you are feeling better. There is a long way to go for you yet and will be more good and bad days to come. Just don't try to be superwoman like I did and everything should go smoothly. Rest is the most important thing. Let things go that don't need done right a way. There will always be time for that later. Hopefully you have alot of support from family and friends. That is so important. The only support I really got was from here and my doctor. This site is a blessing and somebody is always here for you.

Good luck with your recovery and happy healing!

I have the same surgery date as you.. had both ovaries removed after he opened me up.. I am dong ok, have some good moments and some bad moments... I went around the block today for the first time and a little walking at the mall while keeping sis company.. not feeling too bad, seems if I walk more, I feel better, but have to rest plenty too. I am making it mostly on ibuprofen 3 every 4 hours is keeping the p ain down.. not liking the swelly belly though!!

Hi Chelle -
11 days post op, still haven't made it around the block yet. My DR tried for laproscopic (sp?) but had to do c-section and standing straight & moving easily are my problems now along with bad back pain. So I'm taking it real slow and trying to walk around the house and garden after naps and figuring I'm unfortunatly one of the princesses who will need a longer recovery. But my DH & DD keep me laughing (hurts but is worth the pain). Give yourself all the time you need to heal and if you feel great remember not to overdo it!
Take care -
