Low Blood Pressure

Went to my family doctor on Friday (he's so cute--he looks like Dughi Howser) His only concern was that my blood pressure was really low--78 over 60. I'll be 3 weeks post-op tomorrow--he's attributing it to the surgery and my pressure has always been a little on the low side. Anybody know how to raise my blood pressure (besides visiting with my mother-in-law and watching the political advertisements on tv) The doctor just said to drink a lot of fluids and to come back next week--seems to me that there should be something else. Anyway, outside of that, I'm doing great--a few twinges here and there--the bladder spasms and gas pains are still there but really slowing down. Hope everybody else is doing well!

hi me, glad to hear you are doing well. i too have low blood pressure...i've never been told to raise it so i don't know what they would want you to do to do that. humph

Glad to hear you're doing well after your surgery. I also had very low blood pressure several weeks after surgery but my doctor wasn't concerned. I begged him to let me go back to work PT as I was SOOO bored and it did the trick. LOL (Kind of like your suggestion to go visit your MIL!) Keep up the good work and TAKE IT SLOW!

My doc actually suggested eating a "little more salt on everything". My pressure now runs around 90/60 and I have become accustomed to the extra salt. I just hope I never wind up with high BP because cutting out that salt will suck!!LOL!!!!
