Not sleeping?

I am not sleeping but for short catnaps. I am 3 days home from castle and I cannot sleep for no more than 2 hours straight. Not only am I tired from the surgery I am tired from not sleeping. Is this normal and will it get better? I am still on pain meds and have horrible day sweats , night sweats, morning sweats, afternoon sweats, everytime sweats ( and I still have my ovaries ). can you imagine if I had them removed? I would be my own walking sauna I guess I can always call Noah to build me an ark

Not sleeping?

I am experiencing very similar symptoms. I'm six days post-op and kept my ovaries, but the hot flashes are terrible, and I'm not sleeping. Took two hydrocodone before bed last night -- and even those didn't knock me out! My doctor did an FSH test, which showed normal hormone levels, so my ovaries are supposedly functioning OK, but I don't feel as if they are. The doctor says my symptoms are simply in reaction to the surgery, which is a shock to the body ... but I don't know. This is weird, especially the not sleeping.

I know how you feel...

I am just a week post op...And im just now starting to finally get some decent sleep...The best thing I can reccommend to you is to wear your girdle and to lay on your side..Get you a big body pillow or maybe even an extra comforter and wad it up around and underneath your body..This will add support and help you get comfortable...Im not having the sweats but I do get the occasional hot flash...If its not due to not being able to get comfy...Try calling your doc and seeing if he can prescribe a lite seditive...That might help...

Hugs to you in your healing...
