Nervous about tomorrow's surgery
Oh Jeanine, prayers are the LEAST we can do for you as you do so much for all of us. Fear of the unknown is always the worst. We've got our fingers and toes crossed for you, in addition to prayers. You'll get through this, you always do, right?
Love, hugs, and comfort,
Janie

Nervous about tomorrow's surgery
(((((Jeanine))))):
Just got back from vacation to see your news!
You definitely have my prayers, and cyber- s.
When I had an infection lysed in that area, years ago, I remember ice packs and donut pillows being my friends for a week or so. I think I used bags of frozen peas, or corn. They were effective!
Big s, dear friend -- rest tomorrow, and we'll look forward to hearing from you when you can...

Nervous about tomorrow's surgery
Hi Jeanine,
First of all good luck with today's surgery. I noticed other posts mentioned using ice bags for the pain and discomfort and just wanted to share an "ice recipe" with you. I just had a total knee replacement in May and ice is my new best friend. You can mix a little less than 1 cup of rubbing alcohol with 3 cups of water in a freezer baggie then double bag it, and then let it freeze. It freezes to a sort of hard slushy stage that molds to whatever part needs the attention. It stays cold and frozen quite a while and they you can just pop it back into the freezer. I made a few so I always have one ready to use. When I use it, I put it in a pillow case to protect my skin, plus if it should leak as it melts the pillow case absorbs the liquid first. I hope this helps you. I'll keep you in my prayers. Jo

I am praying for you right now. I do hope that the pain is minimal, and that they get it all, and there is no further areas of concern.
I do hope that the IV's do not bother you (they get them in with the first shot), and that you are out and awake before you know it.
Best wishes and good luck.
God Bless

Nervous about tomorrow's surgery
Dear Jeanine,
Keep your faith strong and know that you are doing the right thing for your ongoing health. I know what you mean about being afraid that they will find more. I think I've put off having a colonoscopy for that same reason. I'm glad that whatever they found was in the early stages, and I just know that these other tests and evaluations will not unearth anything else. :-)
I will be thinking about you and sending many hugs your way, dear Jeanine! Please let us know how it goes, and while you're undergoing the tests, know that we are all holding your hand from afar.

Nervous about tomorrow's surgery
Hi, Jeanine,
I wish I could say something to make you not be scared, but we both know that no such words exist. I will pray that your surgery will be quick and painless and that no new areas will be found.
The upside is tha your bad cells are not invasive and hopefully this will put an end to your problems once and for all!
Take care and good luck, Jeanine.
MoeKay
P.S. to SirenSong,
Please get the colonoscopy. My friend was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer at 49, and only wished someone had told her to have a colonoscopy ten years earlier. Colon cancer is highly curable if detected early. My friend had to have extensive surgery, chemo and radiation because of the extent of her disease (she's fine after five years, though!)

Nervous about tomorrow's surgery
Dear Jeannie,
I know that having surgery is not something you would have chosen from a list to do. Do you remember Nehemiah even though he had concerns, he didn't hold back. He took the step forward, asked for God's help and did the job.
I will be praying for you. Don't be nervous or scared (that sounds so silly because I know I was it's only normal) but remember that God is with you, he is guiding the doctors and watching over YOU.
Here are some scriptures to read that will give you some peace:
Mark 11:24
Matthew 21:21
Psalm 27:1
2 Corinyhians 13:9
Hope this helps some.
Love and Prayers,
Donna
