Post Gallbladder Surgery-No Stones/Adhesions

Just wanted to let everyone know that I survived my gallbladder surgery Monday. Although I was forever in the recovery room and vomitted, once the nausea stopped I was up and around that evening; sure seemed like a walk in the park compared to my TAH/BSO.

Anyway, doctor stiched me up with glue for people and you can see the incisions. Doctor said I had no adhesions, no stones, but then said, "Your gallbladder did not look that bad". Well he did not say it looked good either. Dr. said my gallbladder was sent to pathology and I should find out at post op appt. Hmmm, could it be endo? Who knows?

Hard to say what I feel like. I have eaten, no heartburn, but I think it is too soon to tell. I do not have any more pain where the gallbladder was with the exception that is was removed.

Once I find out something new I will post it.

Regardless of what is found, I am sure glad that I had my gallbladder removed; I can sleep now at night-No Pain.

Take Care!

Welcome home, Carrie. I'm sure happy that your surgery went well and that you are recovering steadily. Do remember your Princess training: walk for recovery, drink plenty of water, as directed and, most of all, rest, rest, rest.

Thanks Dany for the warm wishes.

Can't say that I remember the rules because I logged on about 4 weeks post op of my TAH/BSO. I am resting as much as I can, but I have a busy and crazy life. Example, my ex-husband took me to court yesterday on an emergency basis, child custody order, even though I told him I had medical reasons not to go and should go next week. Well of course he took me anyway. I spent 4 long hours in court, but I out smarted him and got full custody with him having to go to counseling before he is allow to see our 14 year old son. I know this is TMI, but I have to say that although I looked like crap, the mind was working fine and I finally put that ordeal to rest.

I have a headache now and once that is gone I will go back to bed.

Thanks again and thanks for listening.

Oh ((((Carrie)))) Do try and rest, especially after that day at the court-house Guess it didn't do much to endear your DH to your family

The training is fairly easy: rest, rest, rest; walk for recovery (now is not the time to run a marathon ); drink plenty of water (or, at least, as ordered by your doctor). When you're done, rest some more.
