Celebrating One year checkup and overdid it!!!

Hi, I had 18 nodes out and had stage 1a endo cancer and the works removed one year ago. Alleluia--i passed the one year check-up today! Hurray.

i have been getting stronger and stronger but had a set-back last friday when I helped someone move and carried small boxes up and down 2 flights of stairs, my tummy felt like it did a few weeks after the surgery. saw the gyn today for the one year checkup and she said this is what the "radical" part meant--that taking those nodes out could still make the area weak a year later. So, I learned a big lesson--to not overdo things. I need to build up to things, nnot just do a huge amount of exertion in one day--even after a year. I am resting like mad so I can walk well on my trip to London starting on Monday.

Have a good August all you wonderful ladies!

Celebrating One year checkup and overdid it!!!

Hi
I also had endo ca stage 1a with node removed.....I am two years post op and I noticed a sort of feeling of weakness or lack of strength after moving a bunch of boxes a few weeks ago....I was like...no way it could be from the surgery....it has been two years, but I dont have the capability to do the heavy work anymore. The discomfort mainly came from my right lower side.....where I still have some numbness from the lymphnode sampling. After a couple of days it faded.
Anyone else have this happen?

I am glad that you are one year out, and I do hope that you continue to heal.

Take it easy, after any major surgery it takes a good while for your body to be the way it was before pre-surgery.

God Bless
