Planning wardrobe without Aunt Flo's intrusion
I've been planning my outfits for work starting next Wed. and what a pleasure it is to not even think about Aunt Flo in the process. I tried everything on and am even able to camouflage my swelly belly. I've lost weight in my hips and thighs which helps.
Plus, absolutely NO black or navy pants will be worn for the first 2 weeks (I lived in them before the hyst so no accidental spotting would show).
I feel so carefree and am actually looking forward to dressing for work.
Has anyone tried wearing heels at 6 weeks? I'm kind of scared so I'm planning on flats for a while - I'm 6'0 tall, so flats are not a problem.

Reb,
For me...my casual wear, since it is summer:
white...white...white
thong underwear instead of old grannies
and
tight fitting pants and shorts.
And, hey...I am 5"10". Heels?? Why yes!!!!! You go girl, when you are ready.
So...good-bye Fibroid Sisters and Aunt Flow. Thank Goodness you have left the building!!

Planning wardrobe without Aunt Flo's intrusion
I went back to work this week and had to buy all new clothes since I went down two sizes! I've had alot of fun shopping and picking out cute clothes. I work in a mental institution so I can't wear heals or anything revealing. Don't want the male patients to get roused!! LOL
I bought white and tan and green and two pair of jean capris. I have also bought regular jeans and tons of new shirts.I now have pink and other girly looking clothes. How wonderful it feels to be rid of Aunt Flo for good!!!I feel more feminime now than I have in years. I even colored my hair for the first time last week. Had to cover up those gray hairs this stress has brought on!!!LOL
Enjoy planning your wardrobes!! we deserve it.

Planning wardrobe without Aunt Flo's intrusion
You should have seen the little happy dance I did in Dillard's when I realized I was purchasing a pair of khaki pants! I'm SO excited to be phasing black and navy out of the below-the-belt portion of my wardrobe I just can't even express it in words!
The first couple of weeks back to work, which was June 1 for me, was warm enough I could get away with sundresses (no waist line) and casual slacks with a big shirt. By end of week 2, beginning of week 3, I realized that control top panty hose or a light control panty girdle were awesome for helping me get thru the whole day of vertical-ness without increasing my swelly belly by quitting time.
Remember to take it easy on your expectations of yourself the first few days back - until you get used to being back in the routine. I found those first few weeks that if I would just head straight to the recliner for about 15 minutes with an ice pack on my tummy and the feet up, I was better prepared to face the evening of laundry, dinnner prep, etc.

Planning wardrobe without Aunt Flo's intrusion
Just 5'4" here. I bought a lot of summer seersucker pants in all colors and matching tops. Flip flops for me. My son asked me the other day (he works here) when I was going back to normal shoes and I said when snow flies. I have been so comfortable with these clothes this summer and everyone notices my weight loss. I feel sexier too.

I love how tall you some of you guys are, I am 6'5 had a great deal of trouble on the hospital beds. I am so looking forward to not having to plan my wadrobe around AF quite frankly I am not sure I own any pants that are black, navy blue or brown.
I don't know about the heels, I don't any, I look like a drag queen when I wear them lol.

does the phrase "hoochie" make you smile? Cause thats what my new clothes are gonna be. I cant get rid of this belly until after I heal from surgery. But when I do.........watch out world! hehehehe. Tight shirts(if I am gonna be stuck with DD's then I might as well flaunt them)and short shorts. I am gonna make my hubby drool and chase me like a teenage boy! I cant wait!!!!!

Isn't it just so wonderful?? I feel so free and liberated. I love that I can wear nice panties now and not have to worry about "starting" and going through everything. I am also wearing white, white, white, and anything that is light colored. You go girl!! Have fun!!

Just plain ol' panties without pads is my new wardrobe pleasure! Especially now that it is summer, it is so nice to have that area "airy."
Another wardrobe change: more room in my purse, now that I don't have to carry around a zillion maxi pads, super-duper-plus tampons, and a pack of baby wipes!
