Acne back with a vengeance?

Hello I am now 7 weeks post op and doing fine now apart from the odd ache and pain.

I am on evorell patches 0.75mg. Before the operation I was on a chemical induced menopause and my life long acne seemed to diminish.

But now it seems back with a vengeance, is this the HRT or is it still that my body is trying to settle down and get stuff out of my system. I have like huge red lumps on my chin and they seem to last forever. Sometimes being really iccky here they develop into huge pimples and yellowheads but apart from that the area stays red and itchy. My cheeks are similar. Is this bad acne or rosacea and could it be aggravated by the hrt? Apart from that I seem to have no side effects to the patches and am feeling the best I have felt for ages.

But if my chin gets worse I know that my self esteem will lower when I get back to work! I have tried creams lotions and potions and find that the best thing to ease the itching etc is Aloe Vera gel.

I will go to my gp next week and mention it to him but eeek!

Acne back with a vengeance?

Glad you are doing well after your op. To me it sounds as if you are on too high a dose and its giving you a reaction. I could be very wrong of course! Im on Evorel 25 (patch). Just one patch a week and i find, along with the ovestin vaginal cream, (3x's a week) it is enough to make me feel so much better. Perhaps you could ask your GP to lower the dose and see what happens??

Good luck!
