fourth week worse than ever

Yesterday was my four week mark with a TVH and I started bleeding a little bit again which I have not done in over two weeks. I have not changed my activity level so I dont think I did anything wrong. I am so depressed, I am ready for this to be over. I tried to call my dr but he is out of town until Monday. What could cause this and is it normal?

It could be your stitches disolving. I spotted for 8 weeks so I wouldn't sweat it!

fourth week worse than ever

I had a little bleeding the morning of my five week post-op. Had none until then. Doc said that my stitches were still dissolving and that I would have some bleeding and discharge. This is perfectly normal.

fourth week worse than ever

I had a TVH/BSO on July 12. I had a slight discharge until exactly 3 weeks after my surgery. Then I started to bleed and even passed a clot! I totally freaked out because that would have been the time for Aunt Flo to visit if I hadn't had surgery. I went to my doctor's office and when he walked in and asked how I was doing, I said, "Fine, except that I started a PERIOD on Sunday night!!" He laughed and said that he must have forgotten to take out my uterus.

Anyway, he checked me out and said that everything is healing nicely and that as the stitches dissolve and the cuff heals up, I'll experience some bleeding. He said it's sort of like a scab coming off. (gross!!) Anyway, I started bleeding on Sunday, it tapered off and got lighter by Tuesday and I'm still bleeding a little. I hope it's over soon! The worst part is, I can't wear a tampon!

You're not alone! But I'm glad that I was able to have this done vaginally. Even though we bleed a little more, our recovery time is usually much quicker than those that had an abdominal incision. Hang in there!
