Bleeding Mos. After a Hysterectomy

I had a complete hysterectomy in Jan. 2004. This operation was 2 years after having a double masectomy for breast cancer. I do take tamoxifan as well. Since having the hysterectomy, I have continued to spot ... no particular pattern, amount, etc. My doctor has not been able to identify a cause or reason ... only a mystery. Has any one else had this or similar experience?

I truly appreciate learning about your experiences and helpful advice.

Enjoy today!

Bleeding Mos. After a Hysterectomy

Hi Cm,

I am sorry that you are still spotting soo long after surgery. My surgery was over 2 years ago and I did not spot or bleed at all. However, every time I saw my doctors whether it be my oncologist/gyno or oncologist, that was always one of the questions asked, "Any bleeding or spotting?"

I am glad that you and your doctors are on top of it.

HUGE S

I never spotted after my hyst too much. Maybe in the first week or so. Why did you have the hyst, due to the tamoxifen? Has you doctor taken a sample of your tissue (vaginal vault area)?

I do hope that you will be able to find a cause of the spotting.

God Bless
