Wink - Recognising famous voices! Recognising famous voices!

HI
Just reading through the narnia thread, prompted me to think about famous voices, especially through cartoons etc.
A famous voice, that I'd recognise anywhere, is James Mason. I know he's long dead, but for me he had a very distinctive, very very pleasant voice to listen to.
Anybody else got a voice they enjoy listening to? that's instantly recognisable???

Recognising famous voices!

Hi Fran,
I love James Earl Jones' voice. I believe he did the voice of Mufasa in Lion King. He just sends shivers down my spine, because I love his voice so much. They seem to use his voice a lot in documentaries as well.
That's also what appealed to me about my DH; I always think he has got the greatest voice.

Sean Connery. I could listen to him talk all day! I don't care how old he gets either, he's still one sexy dude!

The famous Don Knotts aka "Barney Fife" has an easily recognizable voice.
Lauren Bacall, David Schwimmer are a few also.

John Malkovich.

he can be so sinister, creepy, but so soft spoken. His is such a particular voice that I REFUSE to watch any movie he is in which has been dubbed into Italian.

Patrick Stewart
James Earl Jones
and yes yes yes... Sean Connery!!!
Gerard Depardieu

hmmmmm guess I prefer men's voices to women's !

I could always recognize Gregory Peck's voice. It was great.

Also, who can not recognize Julia Child? What a distinctive voice. Wow, I didn't know she was almost 92 when she passed away recenlty.
