i need help!! i have a bacterial vaginosis that will not go away!

I too continue to have this infection. I was wondering if anyone else is extremely tired. I feel as though I could sleep forever. I can't seem to find any energy. I had a colonscopy last week to due to cramping and irritable bowel. Nothing came up with that. I didn't like my GI dr. he was very abrupt and dismissive. I still have the cramping and diarrhea. Any advise please

i need help!! i have a bacterial vaginosis that will not go away!

Oh there is so many with this problem. I don't know if I have the same thing as all you have described but I went to the doc yesterday with an itching vaginia and lots of yucky discharge, some cream colour, some pinky, some yellow (very colourful down there) and he said that it was Thrush. He didn't take a look this time but gave me some cream to insert twice daily for 6 days and if it doesn't go away then he will have to take a look.....Well I started this cream last night and this morning and it seems to be getting better. I was just wondering if this is just another name for what you girls have. As for sex well definiately not while I have this but I have other medical problems from hyst that makes the sex wait at the moment also. Thanks for reading, looki forward to hearing from someone soon.

ah make it go away

I do feel tired alot of the time, but I barely sleep. Like 4 hours or so a night. So that might be the reason. But the new medicine they gave me ciprofloxacin. A one dose I took at the doctor's. It's seven days later, and I'm still having the discharge. So I need to reschedule again. I'm going to ask about a two week treatment of metronidazole. That seemed to work well, the discharge actually went away for the week I took it, and a week after I took it. But maybe a second dose is in order, and longer.

Yes, sex is nonexistant to me at the moment, and that's sad. I love my boyfriend dearly, and I know he misses it too. I don't think I could handle having this forever. I've has it for a long time, but now that I've started treatments, I want it to go away so badly that I don't think I could live with it if I was stuck. But then again maybe I'm just being hysterical.

i need help!! i have a bacterial vaginosis that will not go away!

I have no idea, I haven't had the flush feeling yet. Yesterday was seven days since I took the last antibiotic they gave me. And it didn't work. I need to reschedule another appointment.

I'm going to try eating more yogurt, as I've heard that helps. Plus I like yogurt, it gives me a good excuse.

I want them to give me the antibiotic cream. For some reason, I think that will help.

Yup had the cream for 7 days, did nothing for me, hopefully it will work for you...

Do you have the BURNING along with the pain/cramps??

I see a new Gyno on Tuesday maybe she can find out something for me/us......I'm sick of being sick....The flagel gives me a headach....

I wish us both luck...

BV Problem

I also have this problem, I had it before my hyster and thought it would go away, does anyone have the incredible terrible itching??? I cant stand it sometimes, I have tried everything like all of you, I finally gave up going to doctors and just live with it. My husband thinks I am crazy because sex makes it worse. Any suggestions? I have thought that the tiredness and night sweats etc were just a part of life, I did not realize that they could be from BV. Has anyone ever been cured?

Yep u can beat it.. promise!

Do NOT douche ever though! Plus.. eat yoghurt, not too much sugar, good healthy food and sleep well. Plus.. hopefully you do NOT wear polyestor as it makes us too hot where the family jewels are : ) try not to overheat that area by wearing slacks and shorts where u can't breathe.. if u wear slacks or trousers do NOT wear undies, which helps keep the heat of that area down. If u wear stockings, cut out the groin area so it won't be hot. Do anything u can to reduce that area overheating.
As for the itching.. darn, sorry I took about 3 lots of anti-bis and it did take ages to make the vagina happy again.
Even now, as always, that area is sensitive to too much heat though the BV has NEVER returned (touch wood).
Maybe sex heats up the area too much... Have u been checked for HPV? That can cause itching too?
Make sure u both shower before sex too to make sure there's no extra germs til your vagina returns to it's correct PH balance.
Do u use estrogen cream? I use it twice a week as I can't have hormone replacement orally, I find it keeps the vagina moist and happy : ) supposedly it keeps it more subtle and healthier to fight infections?
I'll pray for u.. come on darling girl.. get healthy wooo hooo.
