Dr. just notified me there is an abnormality

Hi everyone, well I h ad my 3 month checkup and pap smear last week, ( LAVH 29 th August, I had aggressive CIN 3 ). My Dr. found some wart virus and said I have vaginitis. I thought that by having the hysterectomy that everything would be ok. He said not to worry and to come back in 6 months but I can't help thinking that I had the hyster for nothing as there is still something there. I know that there are worse ladies of than me but I am just feeling a bit low. I have been told that the wart virus is related to the cancer. Thanks for being here and listening

I just received a letter from my gyno. and he wants to see me before Christmas. I feel so sad. There is an abnormality. I just wish it would all go away. thanks again for being here.

Hi, I think that it is common to feel a little blue after a hysterectomy anyhow. It is tough to go through and the emotional healing is just as important as the physical healing. The wart virus or HPV has been connected to cervical cancer but certainly everyone who gets the wart virus will not get cervical cancer. I hope that you have someone around for support and it really helps to visit this site and see that other people understand what you questions and fears are. Take care and God bless you. Hurriedh

I know this is hard to do, but try to relax until you actually get to speak to the doctor. I would try to get in there asap before you drive yourself crazy from wondering! I was told that the wart virus and also the herpes virus is related to cervical cancer, BUT you don't have to have either one to get cervical cancer.
Please let us know how you are doing and remember that we are all here for you, if you want to talk!! Take care!!
