Good visit with the gyn/onc

Hi, Girls! I'm back from the gyn/onc. No bow-tie today--it really helped minimize the geeky look !

Anyway, all is well. I am healed. I have some scar tissue that's being a small problem--for example, it pulls a lot if I squat or sit in a low chair. I have the all clear to work on that though. I'm an "expert" with that though, as many of you remember the months I spent working on my last set of vaginal scar tissue.

I can follow-up with my own gyn for now, but need to report in to see the gyn/onc if any concerns or issues arise. It sounds like he's thinking he will see me at some point in the future, but hopefully any recurrence is a long way off (and honestly, I hope there's NEVER another one). This is such a tricky scenario, though. You just never know when something's going to happen to upset your immune system that could potentially throw you back into the ring to do battle again. So here's hoping for long-term health and a magnificent immune system!

Thanks so much for all the prayers and support during this stressful time. A girl would be totally lost without her cybersisters.

<---- this is wheatgrass juice, by the way! Just in case you were wondering!

Great News!

Quite simply, no recurrences are allowed. That's it. No more discussion. No more recurrences. You're going to be one very healthy hostess for us!

s Jeanine

Congrats on your good news.
Just curious as to why your gyn/onc doesn't follow you for awhile?
Especially since it did recur.

Thanks for your update -- it's good to hear that you are doing well -- your positive attitude is inspirational!

Why is it that your gyn/onc thinks he'll be seeing you again? If so, I agree with Karenann -- why not follow you closely for the next little while instead of referring you back to your gyn?
