Severe Back Pain Help!!!!!!

I am scheduled for surgery on Sept 13, I cannot believe how much back pain I have and sometimes I think maybe its not my uterus but just plain bad back....but I think thats an excuse to say why have the surgery when I know that hyperplasia is there and waiting to flood me when least expected....does anybody know why the back pain is ssoooooo bad (like a band of pain around the whole lower area), Is the uterus connected to the back muscles that they clip away, numb legs and all sometimes, cant take advil cause I will bleed etc etc, I also need to pee everytime I lay on my back is this normal????????? Before my surgery i was always at my docs saying my back hurts . they couldnt find anything the matter with me at all!! but thankfully after surgery it did go away . But yours might not be related to my problem! so please wait till surgery and find out !

Severe Back Pain Help!!!!!!

Denna,
I also have that back pain it is like a "death grip" going across my back around my lower abdomen and donw my inner thighs, the thigh pain is more upward in motion. My skin and muscles hurt. The hyperplasia is somewhat to blame and I also have other gynecological issues such as uterine prolapse, enterocele, rectocele, cystocele, fibroids and ovarian cyst. All internal organs are attached to one another
and the prolapse pulls with gravity and movement, the fibroids sometimes will attach themselves to other organs in search of blood suppy, like a creeping weed in the garden which also pulls and tugs. I have purchased a pelvic binder which offers some support but also caused a small "slit" like sore on the bottom of my belly. I am having my surgery on Sept. 2nd and it can't come quick enough. This pain is very similar to back labor but isn't giving me anything in return, just alot of pain.

Severe Back Pain Help!!!!!!

Hi all,
Is there a possibility that you may have adenomyosis? I do, and I can tell you that the back is a killer. I found this reference in the Hyster Sisters resources and it could explain a lot:

The uterus has physical attachments to the lower back via the uterosacral ligaments, to the upper thighs through the round ligaments, and to the umbilical area through the urachus and obliterated umbilical arteries that come off the uterine arteries. Therefore many patients with a uterine source of pain may describe pain radiating to these areas. This may help differentiate uterine pain from endometriosis pain.

I hope this helps.

Maria

I tried to post this a response and it opened a new thread. OOPS!

Severe Back Pain Help!!!!!!

Jen, you are so cute and funny, what are the hospitals like is Scotland, and how do the doctors treat you?? I can't help being a bit nervous but the pain is so nasty, that I really wish it were tomarrow. To top off everything else I got laid off yesterday but we get to stay until Feb 25, or so they say, I am sure it will be sooner because the loans are not coming in, I am in the loan industry and a big bank bought this company and now they have to downsize, 2 times in one year YIKES...oh well I will be out on disability anyway,,,,,man these hot flashes are getting nuts, gotta go run outside LOL, Hugs, Denna
