adenocarcinoma post-hyst surveillance

Hey all--

Wondering if anyone has heard recommendations for
surveillance post-radical hyst for cervical adenocarcinoma,
stage IA (node negative, depth less than 5mm). I've
heard anything from paps every 3mos for the next 5years
to that plus a chest x-ray every year, and I've also
heard about some tumor markers that I didn't get tested
for preop. Anyone with ideas? thanks, amy

post hyst tests

Bluglow, I had a abdominal hyst after cervical adenocarcinoma stage 11A with no node involvement and two tumors one 4cm and one 2 cm. I had a pap every 3 months the first year then every 4 months the 2nd year then every 6 months the third and fourth year and now I will have a pap every year. I got a chest x-ray every year since the diagnosis and I go back to my doctor in January and I think I will be cutting back on the chest x-rays from now on also although I don't remember how often he said they will be. I don't believe I was tested for markers and I am interested to hear what markers you have heard about that are helpful after cervical CA. I will be watching to see how other sisters respond to your question also because I would like to compare their follow up to mine. Best of luck to you.
