Adhesions

Hi ChrisRyan7,
I had bad adhesions from what the Dr said when I had surgery on 8/5. Adhesions is scar tissue from previous surgerys. Didn't the Dr see them when you had surgery? Adhesions can connect to anything and the pulling can cause pain. Take care and I hope and pray that you don't have to have anymore surgery's.

Adhesions

Hi Chris Ryan and all!

Adhesions are fibrous and scar tissues that connect organs together after some sort of trauma (such as a previous surgery) or infection. My doctor said sometimes they are just there with no apparent reason.

In my case, I had adhesions that attached my ovary to my colon. It caused some pulling and my colon was slightly "kinked" because of them. I had a laparoscopy and he cauterized them last summer. I had no pain whatsoever from having them removed. However, I suspect they are back as I have the same pulling and pain feeling I had before. So, when I have my hyster on the 23rd, he will take care of any others he finds.

Hope this helps!

I just had repeat surgery after my LAVH 4 months ago. I had lysis of adhesions during my Laparoscopy this week.

The adhesions were found linking my ovary and vagina. Thankfully my ovary is now back in its rightful location.

The mystery of adhesions...I can't imagine how the two met!
