tilted uterus

I recently read another post where another "sister" mentioned that she had to have an abdominal hyst rather than a vag hyst due to a tilted uterus among other things.

I've been told before that my uterus is tilted back. My doc hasn't examined me in almost a year, so I'm sure that he doesn't remember this. It's probably not in my charts either. My TVH is scheduled for 9/16.

Do you think that I should mention this to the dr? Is a tilted uterus usually a big deal? I call about once or twice a week with some kind of question. I'm sure that the dr and nurses are getting tired of hearing from me.

Thanks

Tilted U.

I have a tilted uterus too, I have to have abdominal because of size, not because it is tilted.

Good Luck!

I have a tilted uterus thats sitting on my colon with a huge fibroid 8cm..I saw it on the sonogram My ob/gyn referred me out to a Advanced surgery called LSH- Its same day surgery and a 3 week recovery. They send ya home with Motrin 800 or Bextra.Thats something you might want to explore. Good Luck.. Colleen.. Laproscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy-Oct 1st..Tilted/retroverted uterus.Huge Fibroid..

When they first told me I had a tilted uterus I asked what it meant. He said it's pretty much 50/50 which way it goes, but when they were literally writing the books, one way went down as more "normal" than the other. I don't think the way the uterus is tipped is the problem, it's what it does while it's tipped that's of concern.
