Personal question here

I was just wondering....since i have insomnia and all....anyways.

Is your sex life better now that you have had this procedure done and why??? I feel that i am thinking about it more and that i am readily in the mood...my DH doesn't mind either.

Personal question here

Yes, yes, and YES!

Why?? Because now there is no fiddling with birth control, and worrying about accidentally getting pregnant. Because Aunt Flo has been sent packing for good, and will never again interrupt or curtail lovemaking.

Wild, red-hot monkey love 24/7/365 now!

No.

I had a terrific sex life pre-op and it has been completely destroyed by TAH/BSO.

No. It was perfectly fine before, and now I always have some pain at the beginning.

I thought the pain would go away with time and healing, but it hasn't.

It is WONDERFUL now, and there are no changes in ANYTHING except that I don't have to worry about bleeding 1/3 of the time, and premenstrual and menstrual cramping, etc.. This was one area I was very worried about and considered when first deciding on this surgery... I'm so sorry for those of you who have problems NOW after surgery. Certainly mention this to your Dr. and maybe things will get better in time.. Kathie

My sex life was good before the surgey and it is good now. I have no more excessive bleeding, cramps, or backache. My LAVH surgery was about 2 1/2 years ago. I did have to have my right ovary removed 3 months ago due to an ovarian mass and adhesions. There was a period of several months that sex was painful because of the ovarian mass. Now that I am recovered from that surgery my sex life is good again. I do still have my left ovary which is working fine so I am not having any hormone changes.

Personal question here

TAH/BSO was the best thing ever for me! Pre-op I could have sex about 4/5 times a yr due to excess bleeding, pain and what not. Now I can enjoy sex as much and as often as I/we want. Dh says that it even feels better for him inside, I did not have a husband stitch put in either.
