fibroids making you feel sick?

Hi Ladies,

I can't wait for my surgery to rid myself of these nasty critters, I was feeling a little uncertain about my LSH, have I tried everything, could I manage the pain better? Now I am done worrying about it! I have been running a fever on and off since July 4th, Dr thinks my fibroids may be necrotic, nasty to think of. Yuck! Get them out now. Anyone else sick from fibroids, not just abdominal pain, bladder and bowel pressure, now fever too! Tylenol helps a little but I am just wiped out all the time. September 21st can't come fast enough.

I had a LSH and I am so happy with my results in post-op!! I think we are lucky to be candidates for this type of hyst.

Before my surgery, I felt all the symptoms you listed. I had my doubts about a hyst and I finally stopped thinking about losing my uterus and what I would gain without it. Before surgery, I looked at the quality of my life with fibroids. I had 24/7 fibroid pressure, I had to run to the bathroom on the hour for just a trickle, I was constipated, and my energy level was very low. And no tight fitting clothes!!

Today, I am fibroid free, no more aunt flow's, no more birth control. And I got my energy back and my bladder and colon are working great.

So...keep positive. Surgery is right around the corner for you.

i had to have a tah, my fibroids had gotten huge. but i am so glad to be rid of them. i even laugh with joy! they hurt my bladder, had moved my kidneys over and caused lots of stomach and intestinal discomfort. not to mention bleeding, backaches and cramps! i was down to only 2 pairs of pants i could wear and the zippers went down on those when i bent over! now i am 2 pants sizes smaller, i can sleep for 10 hours without being awakened by my bladder. i can go shopping without having to find a bathroom all the time. my back doesn't hurt and my stomach feels good. so glad, so glad. good luck to you! dee

Totally relate.....the past year I have been waking up 4-5 times to go pee. Did not know what it was. There is constant pressure everywhere!!
