WHERE'S THE NEW WOMAN? Someone Help!!

I had a TAH on April 15, 2004 - I am in 5 mos. recovery stage. I have noticed the past two weeks of severe bloating, feeling very gasy, low back pain, and very tired. Before having the TAH on April 15, I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done at the end of March - I was very anemic and the Drs wanted to make sure there were no other issues besides the endo., fibroids, etc. In doing the colonoscopy and endoscopy they did determine a hernia and knew I have acid reflux (on Prevacid). I have called the Dr. who did the colonoscopy and endoscopy this day and made an appt. for 9/21/04 (earliest they could see me). I asked if these symptoms sounded familiar to having gallbladder problems -the persons response on the other end of phone was nothing is impossible after having a hyst. What's the deal with that? Everytime I eat, and I promise it makes no difference as to what, even Yogurt, I feel as if I am carrying 10 lbs. more. Could this still be part of the swelly belly issue? Has anyone else have and/or have this feeling - and the tiredness (wow!). I would love to hear your feedback.

Kimtini:

I am sorry you are not feeling better.

In my experience, its not uncommon to get wise cracks from office staff, unfortunately. I wouldn't make too much of the comment. It was probably a misguided attempt at humor. My thoughts are that anything is possible anytime.

The gassy, bloated thing still happens here and there to me and I am almost 2 years out. What concerns me most for you is your history of anemia and your being tired. Do get that checked out as well as reporting all other symptoms. Doctors can not have too much info to work with. Do tell all!

I hope you are feeling better soon!
