Emotions getting the best of me

I know this surgery is going to make me a healthier, happier, less "psycho" woman..... but I am an emotional freak right now! I think my remaining ovary has shut down because I go from one crying jag to another and I can't concentrate on anything. I don't have anything else to "prepare" before Tuesday, but I feel panicked, like I've forgotten to do something. I'm sad. The reality is setting in ladies. The fact that I will never know what it feels like to conceive, carry or give birth to a baby, it makes things all the more intense right now, ya know? I just want this to be over with. I want to wake up and start my new journey to recovery and well being. Okay. That was a good drama queen moment. Thanks for listening. Now it's time for ice cream.

Peace to all,

AJ

Emotions getting the best of me

Hi AJ,
you don't have to thank us for listening - that's why we're here.

Good for you for being so well prepared - the panicky feeling that you've forgotten something is natural ---but chances are even if you have forgotten something it is small and not going to be a problem.

I'm sorry you are hurting so much about the idea of no children.
I know this hits different women to different degrees, and it is really tragic when those who truly want children lose their ability to do so.

If you want to share these feelings and get feedback, (hugs and support too) from others who are also grieving you might want to post in our Aching Hearts Forum.
Also in our Resources directory you will find a lot of books, articles and even websites that you may feel could be helpful to you.

Emotions getting the best of me

Hi ((( AJ )))

I'm sorry that you're hurting so much right now. Being very emotional while waiting for this surgery seems to be fairly normal.

I hope that you enjoyed a nice big bowl of ice cream

Emotions getting the best of me

Good Morning AJ, Wow, surgery tomorrow???!!!
I like the name you chose....New Start! Seems to me like you've got a great attitude!
I think its more than okay to mourn the sad/bad things in life. We all need to do that sometimes. Just try and relax into it and buy the extra soft kleenex.
Emotions are what make us feel alive.....and after tomorrow endof the endo...Yippeee!
Prayers and best wishes from another 'psycho' woman.
Chocolate is my medication of choice but icecream is great too!!!
Peace to you too !!!!

You deserve your drama queen moment AJ....tomorrow you become a princess and you'll have your princess, pampered moments... the emotions of having that surgery so close gives you every reason for your feelings. Life isn't fair, to say the least, but you have tons of sisters who care and love you.

Big hugs,

Mich
