10 weeks today and going to work tomorrow
Yuck! Tomorrow is my first day back to work, they would not allow me to work part time or shortened hours so my doctor
extended my leave. They also wanted me to go back mid week to slowly adjust.
I started this job a mere 5 months before I left for surgery and was never wild about it. So going back is not easy; Now I need to be there for the medical coverage -- as it will now be a pre-exisisting condition! Oh well, if I can survive cancer I can surely work a 35 hour week and survive.
I am exhasted at the end of the day now and that is not working so that will be scarey for me as I work noon to 8pm but am never out of there before 8:15 - 8:30 pm and I am up at 6 am taking kids to school.
My "alien baby" (everyone gets swelly belly I get it under my arm where they went in for the kidney cancer); is large and bothersome by nightfall.
Otherwise, I am fine. Yes, I have hot flashes but they are exactly ONE MINUTE LONG, I timed them I can deal with, I am alive and am going to live a long time, Praise the Lord.
I would just like to stay home another 20 years or so before I work again, LOL.
How are all the other 10 weekers doing?

10 weeks today and going to work tomorrow
I'm not a 10 weeker (4), but I wanted to wish you well on your return to work. I went back this week, and have come home at noon every day to rest. My biggest problem is getting a full night's sleep without taking tylenol p.m. Otherwise I feel pretty good, but mostly just tired...

Hi Loriane ,
I am wishing you the best going back to work. It may tire you at first , but after you are used to getting up early and going to bed at a decent time you should feel better about the routine.
It will get easier with time, just try not to overdo when you come home. You still need to rest as much as possible.
You will do great and I'll be thinking of you and saying prayers for you.
