Please Take It Easy !!!!!!

Here is another reminder to take it slow. I am almost 8 weeks. On Thursday I OVERDID. I actually slept in and did nothing until afternoon. (I haven't been sleeping very well for the last week.) Any way I took my shower and went out to pick up perscriptions for DH and myself for bad colds, got gas in the car(at a station that pumps it for you) and stopped at my mothers to pick up some fruit. Came home and went back to my mothers to meet her and my sister to shop. We went to the mall. WAY TO MUCH WALKING. We took the packages to the car. Shopped more. I even sat on a bench while they went into a couple stores. We ate at a restaurant at the mall and shopped some more. I WAS HURTING. My sister could have gone for two more hours, but I said I have to STOP NOW!! Went back to my mothers, did not even go into her house, just got in car and left. When I got home DH said you look pale go to bed and I did. Five hours of that was tooooooo much. Between the cold and shopping I still feel awful. Hoping I recover for Christmas.
DH ordered me to do NOTHING on Friday, he got NO arguement from me.(But in typical male fashion told me that the sweeper needs run last night!! Like I don't know and can't see the dog and cat hair carpet!! I am not blind just not up to par.Go figure) Oh Well. Just heed the warning and don't over do it is so easy. REST, REST and take care of you.

Swift healing. Happy Holidays. God Bless ALL.

I second that...

Iam almost 5 weeks post op. I had a very small informal Holiday party at my home Saturday night. I didn't think I was doing *that* much during the day preparing for it. Boy was I wrong. I have been in bed since the last guest left Saturday night. Here it is Monday afternoon and I still can't sit for more than 10 minutes. Take it easy ladies, or you WILL pay for it.
