DRs appointments went well today

Had my 4 wk check up today and all is well. DR said everything is healing nicely inside and out. Did not release me to lift anything yet but wants me to do light stretching. No sex for another 2-3 wks. Asked about the burning sensation I feel on the outside of stomach, left side, he said was probably nerves trying to heal. Pathology report showed no cancer.
Was joking with DH and told him DR accidentally sewed it all up and he was <oops - keep it PG rated, please>. He just laughed and said he was thinking of trading me in for 2 twenty yr. olds. I told him he'd never be able to handle it
Also saw my pain management DR today and he scheduled me to see neurologist to schedule my surgery. Should have that done in about 3-4 wks. So I guess DH will be SOL for another 6-8 wks. Poor guy he probably will want to trade me in.
Other than feeling tired still from all back pain meds, hyster wise I am feeling pretty good. Still a a bit of tenderness and swelling but that is expected. Lost 16 lbs so far and hope to keep going.
I hope everyone else is having a good recovery and good luck to those who have not gone to the castle yet.
Had TAH+BSO with bladder repair 8/23/04

I am so glad your appointment went so well today. I am sorry you have yet another surgery coming up. As for the pain lets hope you get that under control soon. I had surgery the same day as you. I am feeling good pain wise but I am sooooooooo tired. I will be glad when that goes away! I wish you the best!!!

DRs appointments went well today

rhavensunflower thank you! Yes hopefully once I have my back surgery for ruptured disc I will feel like a 6 million dollar women LOL
Have been dealing with this for almost a year and they finally agree after several MRIs that its more than a strained or torn muscle. Am tired of taking pain pills, cortisone injections have not been working so this is the last alternative.
Found out needed this surgery day after was told needed the hyster. Talk about overwhelming week, besides the 3 trips to OR previous wk and cortisone shot only lasted long enough to get me through hyster.
The 8/23/04 seems to have been a busy day for the sisters. Seems like allot of us have same date.
Other than the tiredness and swelly belly hopefully all are recovering well. Still drinking lots of water and walking as much as body will allow. Have increased daily activity to doing some dishes and small loads of laundry, have 5 to wash for (DH does own work clothes which helps).Have done some dishes and filing of paper work. I plan to work on my photo albums I have tons of pictures to organize. Have done some light grocery shopping DS 21 has been great help to me as still not able to drive per all pain meds for back.
Well speedy recovery to all.
Hope to hear how all 8/23/04 sisters are doing as well as all others

PS the part that was deleted in above message on read letters that stand for S out of Luck. sorry !!!
