hida scan

Has anyone had the hida scan for gallbladder. I went thru that, and before they put cck hormone in i was cramping. It took about 10 minutes before the nuclear med to get out of my liver to my gallbladder. Had to lay on left side, that did not work, had to walk around, finally that worked. I dont have gallstones but am tender and have pains in right side and chest pains. The chest pains they thought were heart related. Went and had all the test for that all negative. So now checking gallbladder and possibly redoing the gerd surgery. I f anyone had this done please let me know. thx angie

hida scan

Hi Angie and Hi Collen,

I had a Hida Scan and it came back normal just like all the other test. I too began to cramp but the results came out normal. Dr. took out my gallbladder anyway because I am now officially 40 and guess what? I had an inflamed gallbladder. I still have some pain, it looks like I have a narrow spichter oddi but am so glad that my gallbladder is gone.

If you have pain under the right rib cage, it is gallbladder. I do not care what anyone says.

Hope all of you have your gallbaldders out soon. Life is much better after.

Take care!

hida scan

Hi Monti, I see my surgeon this afternoon to discuss what he is going to do. Did you have your with the lap or was it open. I had previous lap for fundoplication surgery and have scar tissue at each incision. So will see if he does the open or not. What was it like??? angie

I had one a few months ago

They injected some dye intravenously - just one shot. I laid on the table for an hour. I didn't have any problems with it. Mine came out normal also. I'm still have pain along my rib cage and indigestion. I still believe I am having problems. I need to see a specialist about it but now I am dealing with a breast mass that needs to be removed. It was biopsied last year and was benign. It apparently had grown some and they want to take it out. It is always something!

hida scan

Hi, had the HIDA scan in Aug. For two days afterward, I felt like
I'd been in a boxing match --Sore on the front of rib cage, and lower back
ribs. Results indicated a slightly abnormal gall bladder--no stones, no cholesterol. Doc was going to refer to a surgeon, tho he said
surgery eliminated pain only 50% of the time.
I called an alternative Doc who sent me very pricey, but effective
stuff called Metagreen--to clear liver and gallbladder. I haven't had that sickening pain since!, tho weird sensations still occur in right mid abdomen. Hope you chase down the culprit. Post hyst life
is a never ending quest for restored health. take care. Please
let us know what the stomach tests indicate.

I too had been suffering like you for 10 years. Had all kinds of tests done, everything came back normal, had the hida scan, cat scan, scope, ultrasound and they were all normal. I told the doc i didn't care what the tests said, i know it's my gallbladder and he removed it a year ago this month and guess what!!! It was inflamed and with all of the problems and attacks i had prior, it had scar tissue and adhesions on it. I feel better now that it's gone! They won't listen. So tell your doc you want it out anyway. The tests are not always right!!! They need to start listening to you. Only you know your body. Good luck sweetie.
