Glad to hear you got your appointment! I know what you mean about holding the water!

Good luck with the test and let me know how it turns out!

Best wishes and

ultra sound

I had the ultra sound today..
I drank the 32 ounces of water before I left... It is a 20 min drive to the hospital.. I have IC.. My bladder went into spasms and I could not stand it so I stopped at Tim Horton's and just peed a little bit..got to the hospital and told them I really was hurting so she handed me a sterofoam cup and said don't pee any more then a cup.. so I did that.. I did not tell them I had already peed some!!!! She took me in right away and started pressing on my belly and I was still really hurting..I must have had enough in the bladder because she never said she couldn't see anything..
Now I will wait anxiously to see what is going on with these ovaries...She said it takes about 2 days...

large ovaries??????

Hi!

I know what you mean about having to hold your water. With my stress and urgency incontinence, sometimes I start leaking before I make it to the bathroom.

It's good news that you'll be finding the results out within two days. That's pretty quick!

I just received surgical clearance from my cardiologist and I think I had to wait about 2 weeks for all the test results!

Tomorrow I have an appointment with my urologist to find out the results of my urodynamics test. I think I took that about two weeks ago as well.

Let me know what the results are.

Best wishes - Stay Well!

Hi
I had Urodynamics done..did not like that Uro at all.. I have switched to a much nicer one!! I don't see him anymore though and just see my family Dr. unless I have more problems...I ended up in bladder pain last night...that fiasco made the IC act up...grrrrrrr!...
Stay in touch

ovaries

Hi
I saw my Dr today and he says the ovaries look normal and says large ovaries must be normal for me.... What a relief!
I also found out that the breast biopsy is called guided biopsy where they do another mammagram to pinpoint the exact spot to be biopsied and it is done just by a needle... no incision!!!.. Another load off my mind... Hopefully that will come back normal and then I am in the clear..
My blood pressure is going down but not where he would like to see it yet, but like he says, it is early days yet! I am trying...
How are things with you?
Love,Pam

large ovaries??????

I've been reading this thread now...

I had my hyst. 15 months ago and the dr. thought my ovaries looked great for my age (I was 35 at the time) so he felt it best to keep them. I almost insisted he take them but felt he knew best.

Now I have endocarditis (heart valve infection) due to an unknown source. As I'm having CT scans for the heart and abdomen, lo and behold, the only other thing they find is a cyst on the ovary! I was sent for an ultrasound (regular and trans vaginal) and then went to a new GYN specialist (as I ended up "firing" my original surgeon/GYN 3 weeks post op from hyst) for her help. She felt the cyst and said it was rather large but not uncommonly large (smaller than a baseball) and did move around when touched (which from the way she stated, was a good thing?). Because I'm such a nervous wreck because trust me, things aren't always going so well for me (breast infections and now heart infections), she went ahead and ordered a CA 125 test. I should get the results tomorrow (11/8).

I have no family history of ovarian cancer, I'm under 50, I've had children so therefore my chances are supposed to be very "slim" but I'm a wreck!!!! I can't sleep, eat, or even think straight. I've yelled at my husband more times this weekend than I can count, all due to my fear.
She's told me it was too large to remove with a scope so it would require abdominal surgery (oh hooray for me) but she said she personally wasn't worried about the ovary as much as she would worry about the heart. I'm the opposite, stupid ovary!

I don't know why I'm rattling on so much, it's just that I hate my ovary now! lol I think it's my fear talking.

I've already posted once on this but if anyone has been through anything like this, please let me know.

Thanks and my best to everyone,
Susan

large ovaries??????

Hi Susan,
I know worrying about it can make you feel so rotten..Strange, but even though the ultra sound came back normal I can't help but think they may have missed something. Stupid I guess.. I am getting the blood pressure down finally.. I will getting the breast biopsy done whenever I can get the app. I am trying not to worry about that...
All the best to you and hopefully you will get answers and things will work out good. Try not to worry as worry gets us no where..(lol) easier said then done I know!!
