Describe Lapro for Endo...please
I've had two scope procedures. The last one was done for pelvic pain/cutting adhesions. I had three small incisions--one in the belly button, one about two inches underneath it and one low down, through my C-section scar. The first, my hysterectomy, was done through the belly button along with one incision on the left side of the abdomen & one on the right.
The gyn took pictures of the second procedure and showed them to me afterwards. It was a relief to see that there was very normal healthy tissue in there along with the stuff that was giving me problems.
Even though they are only small incisions, she does need to give herself a few days rest. I was more sore after this last surgery than I expected; be sure she takes her meds on time as it's important to stay ahead of the pain. My gyn had me alternate Vicoden and regular ibuprofen. I kept the heating pad close by, too. Don't be suprised if she has a small lump of scar tissue under her belly button. I gently massaged mine (finger tips only) for a minute or two each day after I'd seen my doctor at the two-week check up and he said it was OK.
I started feeling better after about 3 days. Had this done on a Thurs. and was back to work Tues.
s to you and your daughter. It's wonderful that you can be there for her!
