endometriosis coming out of 6-year-old c-section scar?

I was on this web site about a month ago and my doc had scheduled a hysterectomy with oophorectomy, but I backed out... was not ready. Now I have had a "bump" on my c-section scar that twice now has gotten big and then broken open and bled. The first time it happened, I went to my regular doctor. He said it looked like it had a staph infection and gave me antibiotics. If it happened again, I should go to my GYN. Well it happened again and my GYN thinks it could be endometriosis coming out of my incision. This incision is six years old! I just would like to know if anyone else has had this and if so, what took care of it? I know it exists as I have done research on the web. I just want to talk to a person, not read a book! I also have other problems... fibroids, recurrent hemorrhagic ovarian cysts, painful periods, and a clotting disorder so that I cannot take birth control pills, just to name a few. The doc also thinks I may have endometriosis and that is what is causing all my pain/trouble. She wants to do an exploratory laparotomy and at this time, I agree. Anybody out there have any comments or have had this similar situation? thanks in advance! stacy:hair:

Hope it helps

Hello Stacyr,

I had endo and didn't know it when I had my TAH. WEll I should have known from the symptoms but either way my doctor didn't know until I was open. I too, had and enlarged uterus, the fibroids adhesions so I thought that was just causing the pain. You should in my "opinion" have a look around. Let the doc do the scope and take it from there. I am now on Lupron and some other pill with a name to long to spell. To try and get rid of spots of endo that the doc couldn't remove. I tell you all this to say that it is best to know what is going on before they go in so everything possible can be done for you and there are no surprises. I have had 2 c-sections and I was a mess with endo so says my doc and I never had anything come out of my incision. Don't know if this helps or not but wanted to try.
