Pain on lower left side.

Today marks my 6 MONTH anniversary of my LAVH!! I have really done well and feel so much better than I did this time last year. However, I am having pain, sometimes really bad, on my left lower side. I talked to my gyn. at my 3 week & 6 week checkups and she said it was normal healing and would feel it on and off for a while. Has anyone else had this pain or have any suggestions as to what it could be? Thanks!!

Pain on lower left side.

I've had pains in the same place. I went to the gyn and they said that I was overdoing it. It has only been 3 weeks for me since surgery but of course I feel fine except the occasional pain wave.
However, I'm not one to be able to sit still for very long so it may very well be that I am overdoing it. I would think that since you are 6 mo post op, you wouldn't have anymore pain. Unless there is something else going on. Who knows, all my pains came from adhesions but they could never tell me where they were coming from. I hope they don't come back even after I've had the surgery.

Pain on lower left side.

Although I do not want anyone else to have any pain, its a relief to know that others have this same pain so I suppose it is part of the healing process. I may double check one more time with my gyno just to make sure.

Thanks to everyone who replied!!

pain on left side

Hi I read you post, and the pain you are experiencing on the lower left side could be diverticulitis. If you are contispated and this experience this pain I would see a gastrointesinolgist dr. Hope you feel better. Grace

Pain on right side!

I am almost 6wks post op. I am still experiencing an ache on my lower right side (especially when laughing). I did ask why, I was told this is because the largest fibroid, which was the size of a honey dew melon was on the lower right side. I guess there was more scarring and repair in that area.

Take care!

still having pains...

i'm still having a few pains here and there but nothing like before. i was having more pains in my 3rd week but coming into my 4th week not so much! wooooohoooooo!
i know it can't be gastro related because i've seen 2 docs about that and they have ruled that out. i chalked mine up to adhesions but they could never find where they were coming from.
