10 days & doing wonderful, can I please go to the movies?

I feel actually pretty good. I'm taking 2 half hr walks a day easily & up & down & around 4 or more hours a day. I'm trying to take it as easy as required but I have got to get out of this house & Richard Gere is at the theater this weekend. How much damage can I possibly do to myself just sitting down & watching Richard for less than 2 hours? Ok, if strongly not recommended, how soon can it be sately done?

My response would be: if you can sit comfortably at home for about 2 hours without having to get up or change positions frequently, then go for it! I don't see what harm can come from it.

I have read of many having discomfort sitting. I had a TVH & I was never swollen there & have not had any discomfort while sitting. Like bending, driving a car, I have not understood what the harm sitting is. Maybe I could try it & if I get uncomforable just leave.

If you get uncomfortable, you can always go home and rent the

movie in a month or two. I know Richard Gere is hard to resist!

My first thought was, Well Im going!!! I thought you meant the real live Richard Gere.....I would have cancelled surgery for him!!

If you go, and start to get sore, kindly apologize to Richard, and go home. Send him to my house, Ill make it up to him!!!

Hugs and have fun

Harley-kat, you are a quick thinker! When you finish with him, please snd him to my house. I have no DH or DBF and I'd like to test my new vaginal cuff!! Sorry for being tacky!!

I'm also on day 11 and have been thinking of how much I want to go see SHALL WE DANCE WITH Richard Gere. In addition, I've been walking 1/2 mile in a.m. and p.m. too. My doctor said "Walk, walk, walk.... as much as you want to." I was walking several miles a day prior to surgery, so my walks are much more of a stroll than what they used to be...

Am glad to hear you ask about going out.... will see what I do when my husband gets home... maybe earlier in the day tomorrow would be better... when My energy is higher. And come to think of it, when I wat T.V. at home I am usually in a recliner... wish the theater had recliners!
