bladder spasms

Hello Ladies,

Im hoping some you of out there have or are experiencing this same problem.

When I went for my 12week fu w/dr I mentioned I was have pain with urination. Dr put me on vagifem, hasnt helped. Went to dr today, pain has gotten worse. I dont have an infection. Dr said my uretha is inflamed, when dr touched I just about jumped off the table. Dr put me on antibotics for a week, then I go back to have my uretha dialated. Anybody else ever had this done? And if so how painful is it? Im feeling a little scared about having this done.

Hi there

If you do a search using the Search button at the top of the screen and type in "urethral dilation" you'll find a heap of posts covering just what you're after.

All the very best.

I have had extensive problems with my kidney, bladder, etc. since my TVH on 9/21. My doctor gave me Ditropan for bladder spasms. It really seemed to help a lot. You might want to ask your DR about it.

I hope that things get better for you,

bladder spasms

I have had spasms since my TAH/BSO on 9/7/04 and took 2 rounds of anitbiotics. Now my dr has put me on Detrol La. I was wondering if anyone else had tried it for bladder spasms and how long before you got any real relief. The pamphlet says it can take 8-12 weeks. My God, I'll be dead or crazy before then!

bladder spasms

I've been complaining on this site for 10 wks (10 wks today post op) about bladder pain. I'm on my 2nd prescription for bladder spasms, I guess. Tomorrow, I'm to report for a cystascope?(SP?)
where they check your bladder with a scope, etc. I'm nervous about the pain, cause when he checked my rectum, I went off the table and was in EXTREME pain. Best wishes, I'll post tomorrow because I understand after this exam I will know if there is anything going on with the inside of my bladder. All external diagnostic exams are clear. Almost wish they would find it and fix it....
