Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!

Thank you for the wonderful information on this site! I am 50 and had a TVH on Sept. 28. There were so many things I wondered about: headaches, "swelly belly," discharge, odor, overdoing it, actual healing time.

As a triathlete and 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo, I always try to work harder to get better results. Healing doesn't work that way! I realize now that I probably should not return to MY normal activities after only 6 weeks - thanks to the posts about overdoing it. Resting isn't weak - it's WISE!

You can be sure I will recommend this site to any friends I know who are considering hysterectomy.

Thanks, again!

I know just how you feel about this site. I think it's been an excellent resource while in waiting and also during my recovery period. I am just so found I found it too.

Lots of rest is absolutely the best thing for a successful recovery.

I agree, this website has been a lifesaver for me. I really don't know how I would have made it through without these great gals and all the info I have gotten here.

This site helped me to heal

I totally agree with all the ladies. This support site has helped me learn what to do, when and what to expect on average.

Rest, Rest, and Rest for the first few weeks. Nap, eat and then rest again. I know I am doing so good at day 17 due to this advice.

Thank you sisters!

Ah Jan,

You hit the nail on the head. Resting is wise. We're all so used to being superwomen that we stop listening to the little voice inside that sometimes is screaming that it's time to slow down and smell the roses. Healing is eactly the same way. I'm glad you learned the lesson before you tried something that hurt your recovery.
