new here..hormone question

Hi ladies, I'm really not sure what is going on with me. I had a LAVH kept overies on 10-1. Was feeling pretty good until Sat. i have layed in bed crying, not sobbing really crying, not talking to anyone not eating for the whole weekend. I was better on monday and today all i want to do is sit and cry again. I feel like I want to crawl out of my skin!! When my bf told me he was gonna go out for alittle while Sat I fliped out and started crying in the middle of Target. I know this isnt normal and I dont want to be around myself right now let a lone anybody elses wanting to be near me. Should I call my DR or just deal with it? Thanks for your help.

Hi Tina,

I had my hyst on 9/13 and kept one ovary. My MD told me that after a hyst, it's not uncommon for your ovary or ovaries to kind of "shut down" for a period of time. I went through the same thing you are going through, like crying at the drop of a hat and then five minutes later feeling fine. This started happening around 2 weeks post-op. My MD has told me this is temporary, and as I sit here today, 6 weeks later, I don't cry as easily but I still get nasty hot flashes and have very dry skin. If you aren't sure what to do, I say call your doctor. I hope things get better for you. I know I don't feel nearly as sad and tired as I did at 2 weeks post-op. Hang in there and good luck. I will be sending positive thoughts your way.
