Prayers needed please!!

Hi everyone!!

Went to the doctors last Friday because I could not stand the pain anymore!!
Today I started liquid diet because they are doing a CT Scan tomorrow. Doc said its probably a stone(which I doubt)or a cloged uterer again. They did lazer surgery about 1 year and a half ago!! I'm scared, worried, frustrated and feel like my family does not understand. I keep most of my feelings to myself and try and not tell my family how I feel. I find when I do(even with friends)they say "What is it this time". I know I'm very lucky compared with other people and I'm very greatful and try and keep busy so that I dont have to think about the pain. But at times it just gets the better of me(like today!!). I will keep you all posted on how my test goes tomorrow.
Lots of Hugs and prayers to everyone going through this.

pain

I too, had sharp , take my breath away pain on my left side and having a bowel movment was the worst...I made all the rounds including a ct scan, GI scope , a ring test ( you swallow rings and they they xray you over 48 hours to see what happens. I saw an MD who said I had functional gut pain ( I am a Physical therapist, and believe me, I could not function with this pain. FINAllY they said surgery for adhesions but being a therpist I know adhesions could come back, so I finally found a new md who said I have IBS. I now take Zelnorm , put fiber on my food ( benefiber) and can go to the bathroom reasonable well , my pain meds I take I only need once in awhile. I am going to do a trial of visceral massage from a fellow pT and will let you know how that works out. AS far as fatique, an antidepressant helped alot ( even though I didn't think I was depressed)

You can email me if you want more details but it took me overa year to get relief, so I am pretty satisified now

Not Pain free but I can tolerate this better

good luck

how did CT go?

Maria---
Just curious to see if you found out anything on your CT. Unfortunately adhesions don't show up on any xray. I went to the gyn-oncologist yesterday and you can read all about it on my post, too long to repeat..LOL
Keeping all my sisters in my prayers that are having long-term problems.

Marian where is your new post?

Good Morning Ladies,

Wishing and praying everyone is doing great today!
Did my CT Scan yesterday and do not get my results until Monday!
I'm just praying that it shows why my pain is so bad these past few weeks.
Marian you said you went to the doctors yesterday and that its in your new post. I could not find it. I would love to read what your doctor said that way it would help for when I go to mine on Monday.
Lots of Hugs and Prayers

Maria

Do Adhesions Cause Cramps Or Should I ...

I'd like to continue with this thread and see everyones results for treatment of adhesions. I'm still struggling, not wanting to take Elavil cause I don't think it is helping. I am unsure as to what exercise I should do, cause it seems like if it causes pain, I don't want to do it! right? yet, I know if I don't get more active, I'll just keep putting on weight....its catch 22? hang in there everyone. the urologist just told me last tuesday (10/26) adhesions...adhesions too from my ob/gyn. Never diagnosed before surgery, so what gives? I'm trying to be patient, I'm going to take the Elavil one more week, then re-contact someone at my ob/gyn's office or go to another ob/gyn a friend referred for a second (third?) opinion.

Do Adhesions Cause Cramps Or Should I ...

I'm sure that adhesions do cause cramps, although I believe everyone's case is different. I rarely feel cramps with mine and I know I have massive amounts of adhesions - - some of them I can actually feel as little lumps when I press deep on my belly. I also don't know if women who have adhesions resulting from a combination of previous surgery and endo have the same type of adhesions as women who have adhesions resulting from just surgery or, as in my case, a combination of internal post-op bleeding and surgery. My adhesions cause me burning pain and sometimes there is a deep pulling type pain that feels like it goes to my back and around my hip. I can go a few days and feel great and then "boom" I do something (God knows what?) that apparently aggravates the situation and I feel them for days!
