back from castle...just checking in

Had my TAH on October 18... just checking in. Went in for TAH for fibroids and bladder repair, not knowing if they would need to take my ovaries. The Doctor was surprised to find my abdomen filled with fluid and endometriosis. It had attached itself to my ovaries, bladder and colon and that I also had adenomyosis. My ovaries had to be removed.

I am almost to my 2nd week and doing very well. I caught my son's cold though and am concerned about the coughing and sneezing. I noticed that I have a "pulled" feeling at the edges of my incision that goes down my right groin area. Is that just things healing up? The dr has me on Estrace, .5 in the morning and .5 in the evening. Have struggled with some hot flashes and teariness, but not too bad.

I just know I am going to be a new person when all this is over!

Thanks again to everyone at this site for your encouragement and support. It truly is like having a family full of sisters!

Hope you start feeling better with that cold. Sorry to hear they found more than you bargained for. I feel pretty good for 2 weeks but I am sure there is days ahead of me. I am so ready for work but can't go until 4-6 weeks depending on job. Continue to get better and Take care
