Confused!

First of all....this is a great educational site! After reading so many of the posts...I don't know what to think! My dr hasn't explained too much to me, other than the fibroid that she says is the size of a small apple. I don't ovulate and when I do bleed, it would be forever if I didn't have the progestrone to start/stop it...not to mention those liver-like clots! A few docs I have seen in the past have told me that I don't ovulate because I'm overweight! Everytime I would see a overweight women either pregnant or with a baby...I would think, well how come she ovulates!!!! One of the girls emailed me about PCO. I had never heard of it and it has never been mentioned to me by any of the doctors I have seen over the years. Now I'm thinking that if this has been my problem all along (other than the fibroid) could I have been treated and have had a different outcome? I have started with pain/cramping the last few months, but it is tolerable and I guess it's the fibroid....or is it my brain telling me I have pain because I know the fibroid is there? I just don't know what to think. I'm scheduled for a uterine biopsy on 11/24 and plan to take a list of questions with me to ask my doc so I can understand exactly what is going on. I guess I'm scared too.

Confused!

I don't really have any medical things to say but as far as your weight. Not true, my whole family is over weight and had babies... etc. I'm sorry a dr has told you that, it is not true though, love your self and know that you are beautiful no matter what size you may be. And I hope they find more answers for you and fix the problem for you soon.

Confused!

Hi

Welcome to HysterSisters! There is tons of information, advice, support, and s when you need them.

A lot of members may think the PreOp forum is all there is, but this site offers so much more! You can find answers to almost any question you have, just by spending some time reading.

Check out the PreOp Hints and Articles (click here) which has lists of questions for your DR, previous discussions about topics such as whether to keep the ovaries and/or cervix, suggestions of things to take to the hospital with you, and lots more!

There is also an awesome resource link directory you can get to by clicking here or click Resources at the top of each page. You can find almost anything relating to hysterectomies, surgery, hormones, diagnoses, books, the list goes on and on. Check it out!

You may want to check out the Hysterectomy Options and Alternatives Board (click here) at the top there is a great list with links to all kinds of alternatives

Please be sure to read the info New Here? which can also be accessed from the top of every screen, for important information to help you get the most out of this site.

Read and research as much as possible to help you, in conjunction with your DR, make the best decisions for you.

Best wishes!
