Hi Nicky,
According to some of the Sisters, this can last for months. What I now do is write EVERYTHING down and don't leave the office until I check my list. I also make sure I write things down as soon as they pop into my head. This seems to help. Hopefully our fog will lift soon!

OH MY GOSH!
Are you telling me that this lasts longer than a couple of weeks?
On one hand ...I am very happy to hear that this is "normal"....Here I was thinking that I am just plain LOSING IT....BUT on the other hand I am freaking out a lil bit about it going on longer than a couple of weeks....!
I am 5 weeks Post~op.
I am also VERY emotional....one minute I could cry you a river and the next minute I am happy....and VERY calm....
I still have my ovaries....and am not on any kind of meds except for Tylenol PM ......CUZ I CAN'T SLEEP.....
I am back to work in a daycare...part~time only....I have a 6 week appt this coming Tuesday.... not sure if I want him to say to go full time or not....still TIRED....
Also...at 3 weeks post~op I had a mammogram....(thought it would be a good time to do it....seeing as I had all this time off) and I haven't heard back if everything is ok.....My BREASTS are killing me these days....so I am a little nervous that something is up...is it normal for them to NOT call if everything is ok ?...(this is only the second time I have had a mammogram) it has been 2 weeks.....I should call right?...I was going to call TODAY....but I FORGOT.....SEE?....VERY forgetful!!!!!
Ok...vented longer than I wanted to!!!!
Hope your memory gets better soon!
Have a WONDERFUL HALLOWEEN...OR IS IT EASTER ?.....OH NO WAIT...I KNOW.....Have a WONDERFUL TURKEY DAY!!!!
**~**~**~! (hee~hee!)

hello
My brainfog lasted for a few months. I thought it was just me at first, but found out alot of our sisters had it too. I wrote down everything I wanted to ask the dr. because I would have forgotten it. I even had a hard time getting my kids names straight.
If I didn't know better, I could have sworn my dr. took out my brain too!
Hang in there. It gets much better after a while.

jeez, i've been brainfogged for years -- literally. I assumed it was a condition of perimenopause. since i kept my ovaries, i expect it to continue.

Brain fog is like a permanent condition for me I think, had it before surgery. The worst part is when you have convinced yourself that everything is alright and when you go back to look at things, they definitely are not.

I too write things down constantly, unfortunately I can't always find my list!!! LOL

DaycareDEB- as far as mammograms go no news is good news.
