Hi Nicky,
According to some of the Sisters, this can last for months. What I now do is write EVERYTHING down and don't leave the office until I check my list. I also make sure I write things down as soon as they pop into my head. This seems to help. Hopefully our fog will lift soon!

Are you telling me that this lasts longer than a couple of weeks?
On one hand ...I am very happy to hear that this is "normal"....Here I was thinking that I am just plain LOSING IT....BUT on the other hand I am freaking out a lil bit about it going on longer than a couple of weeks....!
I am 5 weeks Post~op.
I am also VERY minute I could cry you a river and the next minute I am happy....and VERY calm....
I still have my ovaries....and am not on any kind of meds except for Tylenol PM ......CUZ I CAN'T SLEEP.....
I am back to work in a daycare...part~time only....I have a 6 week appt this coming Tuesday.... not sure if I want him to say to go full time or not....still TIRED.... 3 weeks post~op I had a mammogram....(thought it would be a good time to do it....seeing as I had all this time off) and I haven't heard back if everything is ok.....My BREASTS are killing me these I am a little nervous that something is it normal for them to NOT call if everything is ok ?...(this is only the second time I have had a mammogram) it has been 2 weeks.....I should call right?...I was going to call TODAY....but I FORGOT.....SEE?....VERY forgetful!!!!!
Ok...vented longer than I wanted to!!!!
Hope your memory gets better soon!

My brainfog lasted for a few months. I thought it was just me at first, but found out alot of our sisters had it too. I wrote down everything I wanted to ask the dr. because I would have forgotten it. I even had a hard time getting my kids names straight.
If I didn't know better, I could have sworn my dr. took out my brain too!
Hang in there. It gets much better after a while.

jeez, i've been brainfogged for years -- literally. I assumed it was a condition of perimenopause. since i kept my ovaries, i expect it to continue.

Brain fog is like a permanent condition for me I think, had it before surgery. The worst part is when you have convinced yourself that everything is alright and when you go back to look at things, they definitely are not.

I too write things down constantly, unfortunately I can't always find my list!!! LOL

DaycareDEB- as far as mammograms go no news is good news.
