I'm Scared

Hello Sisters,

I know that you have all been there for me and I hate to ask again, but I really need your wisdom and strength right now. I'm so scared. I haven't slept but 4 hours in 3 days. As most of you know, I have to be tested for AIDS. I am going in this morning at 9:00am. To top it all off, I had a collection agency call me and wanted to know when I was going to pay for the emergency room rape charges! The hosptial told me they were going to pay for it. I really didn't want to get into the whole incident again, you can read my old posts from june if you don't know my story, but it looks as if I have to. I knew just ignoring it wasn't healthy, but I couldn't deal very well with it either. I guess I'm just looking for some kind words this morning.

I think putting it out of my mind did give my body a chance to heal though. As far as my surgery goes, I'm doing great. At least I have that to be thankful for, and I really am.

My Big Sis from here has given me a lot of love and support, and I want to thank this site for bringing us together.

Than you all

Lots and lots of s

I had wondered about the status of the rape charges. I did go back to your posts in June to make sure I had the right sister ... I thought I remembered your circumstances, but wanted to be sure. At the time you were not ready to be very specific about what happened and no one blames you for that.

I had no idea there had been body fluid exchange. Any luck on prosecution? I am guessing if a rape kit was done well that DNA was recovered and this creep is going behind bars. There can be no question about consent.

I would have thought the hospital would also have paid for a HIV blood test, if nothing else to gage their liability. Definitely, I am shocked that the hospital called to collect. I'd recommend going straight to the top and writing a letter to the hospital administrator about the collection call in light of the circumstances.

Written complaints are taken much more seriously than verbal complaints. If you are getting legal advise on this matter, speak to your attorney before acting.

I hope things get easier for you soon, dear.

I do have an attornery. Because I waited 18 hours before I reported it, they could not get a DNA sample. They still tried to get a sample from my mouth, but it was to late. I hope to find out my results by tomarrow.

Thank you Sybie

Michelle, Thank you to for your support. I turn everyhting I get over to my attorney, but I still get stupid phone calls. Unless I have contracted a STD he will get off 'scott free' as far as the police are concerned. The detective said he was sorry, but without physical proof they can't do anything. He's suggest an attorney to.

The hospital will not tell me anything about him, as far as any punishment goes. For all I know they didn't do anything to him. I did find out that they have camera's in some of the rooms now.
