Surgery Time Keeps Changing! later :(

My TAH is scheduled for this Monday (11-29). The problem is they keep changing the time! Initially is was at 5PM!!! This did not make me a happy camper. It is bad enough waiting for the surgery all day, let alone be starving! Then they called yesterday and said it had been moved up to 12:30PM - YEA! This was due to another person having to cancel their surgery. Three hours later they call again and say it has been pushed back to 2:00PM. This is really getting annoying. I asked how many more times it could be changed, and she said that I could get called the day of the surgery with a time change! I realize that things happen that cannot be avoided, but surgery is stressful enough. Has anyone else had their surgery changed so often? Do any of you have a late afternoon surgery?

Surgery Time Keeps Changing! later :(

My surgery was scheduled for 3:30...then they moved it to 2:00pm. The day of surgery I had to get there at 12:00. Then my doctor was late getting there, so we waited and waited. Finally I got into surgery at about 3:45. I really wasn't hungry, but I was thirsty. It wasn't as bad as I expected, but it wasn't a fun day. I was very anxious and then I found out that day that my doctor is retireing in a month. It just wasn't a great pre-op experience.
