I had a partial hysterectomy in 1/02 -they left my left ovary for the hormones. Since then I have suffered migranes and a lot of pain on my left side and some hot flashes. The pain would have me down and out at least 2 days a week . Since my partial hyst. the pain that was on my right side went away except for a few twinges now and then. After doing a lap. my doctor determined that I have alot of adhesions around that ovary. I am scheduled to get that ovary out on 12/28/04 along with adhesion clean up. After reading several posts I am worried that I may be causing more problems. I have gone for the 2nd opinion and they both doctors say the same thing. Has any one had this happen?

Uhmmm...yeah I have. I had my remaining ovary removed 3 weeks after hyst for adhesion formation almost "engulfing" it. Had about 6 months pain free and then the pain was back, 3 rd adhesion surgery lasted 4 weeks, now I am in pain managment for the chronic pain.
I will pray that your adhesions will not come back after this surgery.

Me too! Had a TAH/LSO in Oct. 2002 and then a RSO on Oct. 21 of this year. They found extensive adhesions, a grossly cystic ovary and active endo even though I had been on Lupron for 6 months and then bc pills for 6 weeks. Now 5 1/2 weeks later am in PM for (adhesion) chronic pelvic pain as well as SI arthritis. I hope your experience turns out different!
