Adhesions?

Could someone please tell me the symptoms of adhesions? I've had 4 c-sextions and my hyst. and was wondering if any of the bloating could be them or just good ole swelly belly. I seem to be very gassy even though i take gas-x . I think i'm just paranoid.

Adhesions?

Hi,


I had surgery 6 months ago to remove my right ovary and adhesions. I was having chronic pain on my right side. I did not have very much abdominal swelling. Symptoms vary from person to person. The only way to positively diagnosis adhesions is by having lapraoscopic surgery. Adhesions typically cannot be seen by X-ray, CT scan, ultrasound or MRI.

Unfortunately our bodies form adhesions after surgery. They can begin to form immediately after surgery. Adhesions form as a defense mechanism to the trauma and tissue/organ handling that takes place during surgery.
