This one is 'funny'....

hi sisters

I am almost 7 months post op from my TAH. I still look at the toilet paper to see if there is any blood on it. It is hard to break old habits, especially when the bleeding ruled my life for so many years!
I gave my sisters all of my pads and tampons. I thought how lucky I was to not need them anymore. They said they wished they didn't need them anymore either. Everytime I go down that aisle in the store I snicker to myself. I don't care what other customers might think of me.I know if I look hard enough I could still find a few around my house.

I saved a tampon angel instruction that one of the sisters posted. If any of you want the instructions just email me. I thought:idea about making one and sending it to my gyn, but didn't know what he would think of it, or me. he he

WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!

GALVALTRON WROTE "i always say, "thank god i don't need those anymore" and have decided to start saving money that i would have spent on products for a vaction for just me."

WHAT A TERRIFIC IDEA! HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK WE SPEND (OOPS--SPENT) ON TAMPONS, PADS, CLEANING SUPPLIES FOR THOSE TIME OF MONTH STAINS, EXTRA PANTIES...

I'M GONNA START SAVING FOR A VACATION JUST FOR ME.

THANKS FOR THE IDEA!

This thread reminds me of my sil's recent visit. We were having an Open House for our anniversary. At one point she told me that she borrowed a pad as hers arrived a couple of days early and she did not think she had enough to get home.

My response was "there were some in the drawer? I thought DD had used them all."

My daughter had also asked me before coming home from college if there were any here. I said, "How would I know, I don't look in that drawer anymore. It is up to you to keep track."

Maybe I should take back the drawer as no one here needs it regularly.

Thanks for the laughs.

Merry Christmas

I am 29 and just had my hysterectomy 3 weeks ago yesterday due to cervical cancer. I kept telling all my friends that their Xmas presents were going to be my left over pads and tampons. they all think I am kidding but I will definately have the last laugh.

I chuckle to myself whenever I pass by that isle in the grocery store!

Hooray! No more running out on my lunch hour for the emergency supply!

I too am going to give the leftovers to my co-workers when I return. And, boy is there a lot. I had purchased a 2 for 1 deal on tampons the previous month and they haven't even been opened! I thought i might wrap them up in xmas paper as a 'thank you' gift for all the phone calls and thoughts and prayers they bestowed upon me. I'm sure they'll get a kick out of it, I work with a great-humored bunch of people!

Take care all!
