Lupron!,Do you take Lupron and do you have problems or everything is ok?

Hi everyone,

After my surgery my doc wanted for me to take Lupron. I was soo scared about the side effects to this drug that I did not go back to get the med. now two days ago some of my pain came back. Called the doc and she said that Lupron will take the pain away and it will put me in an instant menopause and it will help me alot. I have one ovary left, I have some hair loss and hot flashes and very moody sometimes. I thought those were the signs of menopause. I have endo and lupron supposed to help me with it. If you take lupron please, let me know what you think about this scary drug. for me anyway.

My Dr. gave me Lupron before my surgery to shrink my uterus and fibroids. He said it would throw me into a menopausal state. It did shrink things but made me have a period for 7 weeks before my surgery so I didn't think it threw me into menopause! My hair also started falling out when I showered. I was glad when my surgery finally happened (11-15-04). I had a TAH with BSO(?)--both ovaries out. It was difficult from all the fibroids but feeling a little better now.
