Nerve Block (superior hypogastric plexus)

So nice you did not forget about me. I had my procedure last Friday as scheduled. Was not what I expected, but very glad that it is over. This is Monday and I still am not sure how I feel. My left side pain seems to be numbed, but I have a backache and still tire easily. I am hoping these are side effects and that I am going to actually get relief. I had an IV going and the Dr. numbed my back with a local. Then an exray machine helped her find the nerve bundles in my back that correspond with pelvic pain. She then injected a steroid and lidacaine and I do not know what all else, in my back. Was not especially pleasant, but anything for a break.....Will keep you posted on my progress. Maybe it can help somebody else.....Thanks again for caring. Serafina

I am so glad to hear you are doing well. Having a block totally creeps me out, I guess I could look at like an epidural though, maybe..lol

Thank you for sharing your update, ((Serafina))! I am glad it is over
I do hope you gain some relief from it!! I had one a few yrs ago for my own Chronic Pelvic & abdominal pain said to be caused by Adhesions & Nerve damage...
I remember my Dr telling me it could take some time to notice any relief..for me it didnt help but was at least worth a shot!

I do hope you will post your progress..your right that it could possibly help another ((Sister)) here
Good Luck! Hope you can feel better soon..
