Gross Question but need an answer

Good morning ladies,
A quick history for those who dont know...I have IBS, had some issues with constipation, was put on Effexor which made it worse. Dr put me back on Colace and pharmacist told me to take a fiber also to bulk up as I was getting raisins with my BM's. I take 3 colace and 2 metamucil. For the past week, I have been having such immense pain with BM's...They are not hard, I am not constipated, they are just so big.... Dr showed me a while back how big the stools should be. I have far surpassed anything he showed me! They are bruising me when they come out and I think that is what is hurting so much. Is it the metamucil doing this? I am not eating any more than I was but pooping three times as much....And done in no time flat...Used to be able to sit for a long time and it is power poopin!!

Anyone have an answer for me??
Kat (who is not sittin pretty today!!)

Gross Question but need an answer

I AM constipated, every few days I do, and yes, gigantic...... I don't know what size they're supposed to be, but it takes a long time, hurts during, hurts after.

It is gross, isn't it?

Gross Question but need an answer

yes it could be from the metamucil. i work in a cila for developmentally handicapped and found out what works better is a power pudding its 2 cups wheat germ, 2 cups applesauce and 1 cup prune juice not only does it help you go but it also makes the bowel movement soft. hope this helps you. take 2 heaping tablespoons daily it takes about 1 week to start helping

Gross Question but need an answer

Hi Ladies,
Sister, soft isnt an issue. Will that add bulk to it? My biggest problem is the size, they are soft, and just slide out, but D**N it hurts cuz they are huge!!

Carmen, yes it is gross. The size, well have you ever seen a puffer for asthmatics? You know the size they are? That is about the size they should be...Mine are the size a bit smaller than a small apple. As my son tells me, it is like givin birth through my butt! I would ask your doctor about Colace...It is a softener that takes water out of your colon and puts in it the stools. Makes it easier to poop, and they will be soft. I have to go every day, or every other day.

Thanks ladies

Gross Question but need an answer

I cannot believe I am discussing something so disgusting, but I had one the other day the size of a VERy large, very thick banana. No lie. It took a long time to go, and when I saw that, I was freakin' horrified.

Okay. I hope I haven't nauseated everyone! I have myself. Asthma inhalar? Ha! not even close.

Carmen, I had to laugh....You are right about discussing this. But who else you gonna talk to about this? Daycare is the only other place where you can talk 'potty talk' and not be laughed at, they will just giggle!!

And yes, I can feel your pain.... you wonder how in creation that came out.....

Ahh I love hystersisters!!
