Help Please

I had a total hysterecetomy 2 yrs ago. I have noticed ever since I have really bad joint pain. I want to know if this is a after results. When I talk about pain I mean just about every joint in my body hurts. I cant even shake hands with people at church because it hurts to bad. My shoulders hurt knees back you name it it hurts. I am not me anymore. I use to get up and go go go all day long now I have to lay down in the afternoon because I am tired and I hurt. I was on vioxx but they stopped that so now I hurt.
I am only 44 I cant imagine what life is going to be like at 64
My family thinks I am crazy, my husband is forever telling me to take a pill go to the doctor to get a shot or something like that. I can not express myself at home with him tell me those things.
What is wrong with me. Have I lost my womanhood and my mind because of cancer. I think I would rather be dead then to hurt and be this disfunctional

you might ask your MD about things like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, - sounds like pain is related to muscle/bone and/or joints - connective tissues. I would not expect any of that to be related to having had a hysterectomy, though. If your MD isn't helpful, get a different MD and get a full workup. Obviously there is something wrong and it may take a while to find out what it is. so you will have to be persistent - it's hard to be really proactive about your health, especially when you feel so poorly.

hang in there, though - and keep us posted. here at least we can listen to you, and hopefully give you a direction to go for help.

Barb, take yourself off to the Dr and gets some tests, could be something simple and your getting stressed out and probably making you feel worse , I find when I'm upset or stressed my whole body seems to ache, I have an underactive thyroid and can tell when it's acting up because I get achey, also hormones can impact as well,

Barb, I've heard of what you're describing as a side-effect of Lupron, in case you took that.
Sorry to hear you're feeling so bad! Hope you're able to find an answer soon.

Thank you everyone for your suggestion, I am calling the Doctor Monday and I am going in for a full look over.
I really think you all are gret for answering my post. Thank you.
I do think some of my problem is Arthritist. I just know I hate hurting every day. I am on the patch for the hormones and I was getting a shot also I am trying to cut the shot out and just wear the patch.

aches

barb:

Thanks for your reply to my "I live in good ol' ga. But I would like to respond to this thread also. I had my hysterectomy in oct 04 and I have started to ache all over. Not only ache but I have what could only be described as charley horses. They come in my arms, hands with a achy feeling. My chest also hurts sometimes but mostly in the morning when I wake up. I told my dr about this and he didn't seem to interested. Said he didn't believe it had anything to do with the surgery. He did volunteer to have blood work done for my electrolytes. Osteo is possible since that can occur after a hyster. Maybe ask to have some blood work done.

Glad to hear from someone who shares the same territories. Your home isn't too far from here really. Where did you live in Maryland?
