Where is it?

Hi Ladies,
Besides being at the top of my vagina, where is my vaginal cuff? I know that before my hysterectomy I could easily reach and feel my cervix. Hard as I try, I cannot feel anything that I think is my vaginal cuff. Did my vagina get longer when I had my hysterectomy?
During a post-op appointment, I asked my gyne about this, and he looked at me as if I had some strange disease.
My GP was poking around while he was cauterizing some granulation, and I asked him about my elusive vaginal cuff at that time. Although his fingers are longer than mine, he could not reach it. He then used a giant cotton swab and just shoved it up there until it touched something.
Is it normal to not be able to reach your vaginal cuff? Is it supposed to have sensation?
Thanks ladies!

Where is it?

I think it is possible that anyone with a vaginal cuff could lack some sensation in that area because of being cut and sewn - I'm sure there are nerve endings that get disrupted. to be perfectly honest I have not tried to feel mine with my hands, but I have been aware of it during dr's examinations and during sex.

I don't *think* your vagina could be longer - though I can't say for sure.
